The Bunkhouse
At Loon Lodge we consider the environment and sustainability in everything we do. Take the original garage, built in the 1940s, for example. Looking for a way to add more sleeping space without expanding the footprint of Loon Lodge, we decided to adaptively re-use this charming structure and convert it into a cozy bunk house. Featuring a full sized wool rug over hardwood floors, exposed woodwork and three sets of comfy bunkbeds, the Bunkhouse comfortably sleeps 6, and is a perfect hang out for kids, teens and young adults.
Open the vintage garage doors in the summer for some serious cross ventilation and enjoy the cool evening breeze. You won't need to worry about mosquitoes or flies, thanks to the garage-door-sized screen.
The Bunkhouse also boasts a new flat screen TV, perfect for watching movies on the DVD player or hooking up your own gaming system to occupy kids at night or during rainy spells.
